This webinar is broadcast in the Portuguese language.

Ecodesign in the production of footwear in Portugal is a topic that is increasingly gaining relevance and importance in a world that is constantly seeking sustainable and environmentally conscious solutions. In this context, it is imperative for footwear brands in Portugal to incorporate innovative approaches that integrate design into a sustainability framework at every stage of production, from visual identity to product and service offerings. This perspective aims not only to reduce the environmental impact of the footwear industry but also to promote greater efficiency and competitiveness in national production in the global market. Considering the growing environmental awareness and demand for sustainable products, exploring Ecodesign in the footwear sector in Portugal becomes a fundamental step towards a more sustainable and promising future.

In the context of the BioShoes4All project, CTCP organized a webinar titled “Towards an Ecology of Design in Footwear Production” on October 31, at 2:30 PM. This session addressed essential issues related to design in the footwear sector in Portugal, covering the operational principles of visual identity, brand archaeology as a field of study and procedural approach to strategic decision-making, as well as emerging brand-product-service systems that promote sustainable development.
