Dias Ruivo, headed in Avintes, Vila nova de Gaia, holds the oldest record of its existence in 1936. At the beginning of its activity, the drummers were still moved by hand, in 1945, the second generation took over the management of the company and birthed its industrialisation and modernisation.
The current productive unit has suffered several changes throughout the years to increase the productive capacity and also its competitivity, being managed by the third family generation.
Dias Ruivo is characterised by the development and production of high-end leather, aesthetically innovative, and differentiated, that works leather since the tanned stage – wet-blue, wet-white and 100% plant origin tannery – from the finished product, trading their articles to the accessories, furniture and mainly, footwear sectors.
