This activity, often associated with intensive processes and significant environmental impacts, is undergoing a transformation towards sustainability. With the growing awareness of environmental challenges, companies in the sector are seeking innovations to reduce their impact and promote more ecological practices. The emergence of new technologies and approaches, such as the adoption of vegetable tanning, more efficient water treatments, and waste recycling, is paving the way for a more sustainable tanning industry. This evolution not only responds to the increasing demands for environmental responsibility but also highlights the potential of the tanning industry as a positive force in the search for sustainable solutions in the global industry landscape.
