This project, divided into five pillars – biomaterials, ecological footwear, circular economy, advanced production technologies, and training and promotion – is fully aligned with the goals set out in the Portuguese Recovery and Resilience Plan and will be carried out by a consortium of 69 partners, including 12 leather and footwear manufacturing companies, 14 of leather, 12 of materials and components, 4 of chemicals, 5 of production technologies and software, 1 of Sonae retail, 2 associations, 1 Colab, as well as 18 Entities of RTD, among these several universities such as the Faculties of Science and Engineering of Porto or University of Aveiro.
