APICCAPS, CTCP and CTIC, as part of the Bioshoes4all project – whose main goal is to promote the transition of the footwear sector to a sustainable circular economy – will host a Demonstration Event on December 4th, starting at 2:00 PM in Alcanena. This event will showcase advancements in Portugal’s leather tanning sector.
The session will begin at the Leather Technology Centre (CTIC – Rua da Estiveira, Alcanena) at 2:00 PM, with a presentation of initial results related to the tanning sector.
This will be followed by a debate moderated by journalist Manuel Fernandes Silva, featuring expert João Carvalho, along with Gonçalo Santos from APIC (Portuguese Tanning Association) and Manuel Dias from the company Dias Ruivo.
The highlight of the Demonstration Event will be a visit to two leading companies in the sector that are part of the Bioshoes4all project: Curtumes Boaventura and Curtumes Ibérica, as detailed in the program.
